Posted on Nov 11 2021 - 1:42pm
Hello Scouts & Parents,

Come on out to help bring in the flags the troop put out in honor of Veterans' Day.  It's a great chance to get out of the house, move around a bit, see some friendly faces, and raise some money for Troop 1001.  Please use the link below to sign up and get additional information.

Scouts and parents will meet at Trinity Bible Church (400 W. Campbell Rd.) at 7:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 13th.
Please note that we will be starting earlier than usual so that we can finish up in time to allow people to attend Adam Howard's Eagle Scout ceremony at 10:30 am.

Philmont Cavalcade 625-CV
The troop has a Philmont Cavalcade for June 25-July 3, 2022 with space for 4 more people - 4 scouts or 3 scouts and 1 adult.  Requirements are that scouts must have completed 8th grade with special approval or completed 9th grade, weigh less than 200 pounds, and complete the three part Philmont Physical form. This is a unique program only 31 crews each the summer, with opportunities to see and travel Philmont from the saddle of a horse.  You will learn to take care of your horse for the trek, and complete in a Gymkhana (a coopetition on horseback) at the end of the trek. Anyone interested please contact Jeanne Kilgard or Mike Reisinger.
