We are two weeks out from Winter Camp and all class updates have been made. Please check and make sure I captured everything correctly – it is all loaded on the troop site in the calendar here. Two big changes to classes:

• We removed cooking – hated to do it, but the boys can pick it up this summer at camp. Please let me know your chosen option for Saturday. (not first aid)
• Environmental science is another class we need to cancel. Please let me know your choice to replace. Or – if you want to teach this class – let me know!

In an effort to return by kickoff for “The Big Game” we are shifting our Sunday schedule. We will not have Sunday mop ups/conservation project and will leave at 3:30 to arrive at TBC at 5 p.m.

====> IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Camp has been postponed due to the incredible rise in COVID cases happening right now.  After a lot of discussions  and considering input from the participants, it was determined that the best course of action was to postpone Winter Camp until next month. The new weekend will be February 11-13, 2022.  We are hoping that there will not be a lot of adjustments that will have to be made in order to make it happen, but we will deal with it as needed.  As a result of this, the Court of Honor will also be moved so as to take place after all the merit badges have been earned at camp and it will now be Monday February 28th.

If you have changes that need to be made because you or your scout are now able or are no longer able to make it to camp on the new dates, please make those changes directly with Michelle Jackson via email instead of attempting to make changes on the website or the signup genius.

COVID protocol – as of right now (12/31/21), we will stay on course – but plan to discuss after we are all back at Scouts next week.

• Assume we will ask all to be tested to attend
• Assume we will ask everyone to be masked while we are at camp, except eating and sleeping.

The Barry Family would love for you to celebrate with us at Jackson Barry’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor.  We will be meeting on Saturday, January 29^th, 3 pm at CityBridge Community Church (6400 K. Ave, Plano, TX 75074).   

We currently have a variety of sizes of our fleece jackets on hand and they are perfect for the cold weather season. The fleece jacket is hunter green with a gold Troop 1001 logo.

Jackets can be ordered in youth large and adult sizes Small to XX Large for $26. (Remember...even though your son may be on the small side today, he will grow, so
order sizes accordingly.)

The Faust family; Stephen and Jamie, big brother Preston welcomed a baby boy Tucker Lee last night at 7:02. 9 pounds 2 ounces. He and mom are doing fine.
