Posted on Oct 12 2023 - 3:25pm

Arapaho United Methodist Church annual pumpkin patch is back!

Our second load of pumpkins comes Saturday Oct 14th at 9 am.  We would love to again have Troop 1001 scouts and family members come help us with the unloading.
Bring water, work gloves and wheelbarrows or wagons.  Plus, there will be donuts for helpers!  Mark your calendars!  Volunteer forms can be obtained at the registration table at AUMC on Saturday.

We also have opportunities throughout the patch for scouts and families to help out for a 2 hour shift to help sell the pumpkins.  The patch is open 11am-7pm on Sat/Sun and 3pm-7pm M-F,  Sept 30th- Oct 31st.  Please contact Judy at 972-231-1005 ext. 1 or Judy@arapahoumc.org and she can add you to a shift!
AUMC is located at 1400 W. Arapaho Rd, Richardson, TX 75080

Southfork Country Church Carshow -- Water Sales by Troop 1001 -- Saturday October 14 from 10am to 3PM

Posted on Oct 12 2023 - 3:25pm

Do you like cars, trucks and motorcycles?  Well then maybe you would enjoy selling water at the Southfork Country Church Carshow to help raise money for the Troop.

A family member to an Eagle Scout from Troop 1001 has invited us to raise funds by selling water and/or soda at a Car show sponsored by the Dallas Area Pontiac Club. It will include different makes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. There will also be professional live entertainment. They expect it to be close to 200 attendees and want us there in our class A's!

The show is Saturday October 14th from 10am to 3PM.  The attached flyer has information about the event.  Amy Weems will be coordinating it for the troop so contact her with any questions.

It's a bird, it's a plane...no, it's TRAINS!!! Registration deadline is 10/6

Posted on Oct 5 2023 - 6:56pm

The next campout is going to be very different and a LOT of fun.  You won't want to miss out on this one, so make sure you are registered by the deadline of October 6th as we need this additional time to make sure we have all tickets purchased and reservations made. If you're not registered on time for this one, it is almost guaranteed that you will not be able to join.

It is happening October 27-29.  PARENTS: We need a lot of adult help on this one as there are a lot of moving parts and logistics.  We will need more drivers/cars than usual to facilitate moving the scouts/adults from one area to the next to catch each of the different trains. If you can sign up to help as an adult participant, please do so.
