Weather Alert for Monday's Troop Meeting - Stay Tuned

Posted on Oct 23 2020 - 4:59pm
Please keep an eye on your email for any last minute changes regarding Monday's troop meeting.   There is a chance of cold and rain on Monday, which would not be good for fire building.  If that happens, we may have to change to a virtual meeting.

Update on Patrol Activities

Posted on Oct 15 2020 - 9:54pm
Howdy Troop 1001 Adults!

We made it through our first round of Patrol Activities.  Most of what I have heard has been positive, but at PLC last night, the overwhelming Thorn I heard when we did our Thorns, Buds and Roses review, was communications.  I failed to get the activities fully staffed until days before the event and that led to late communication to and from patrol leaders.  Please forgive me for that.

Service Hours @ Arapaho United Methodist - Pumpkin Unloading on 10/3 and 10/17

Posted on Oct 15 2020 - 9:52pm

Arapaho United Methodist Pumpkin Patch is Back!

Troop 1001 has volunteered regularly with Arapaho United Methodist’s Pumpkin Patch.  After much discussion, the church has decided to continue our patch with new Covid-19 precautions.

We have some different procedures this year and will not have lines of people passing pumpkins like in the past. Instead, we will have two shifts of people to unpack the pumpkins from pallets and distribute them in our yard.

We would love to have as many Troop 1001 helpers as possible!  Many in the congregation are not able to participate in the unloading, so scouts have always been particularly important on unload days.

This year, we are getting deliveries on Oct 3rd and Oct 17th. We have 2 shifts for distribution at 11am and 1pm, and masks and distancing will be required.
Scouts and parents are also welcome to sign up for a shift to help sell the pumpkins with a church member.  Please sign up through the link below.
