First Aid Merit Badge - December 11

The next First Aid MB class is Dec 11.  Those that have made all 3 of the Monday night classes can finish the MB at Winter Camp January 12-14 except for Rqmt 2d, the Home First Aid.

 

Wilderness First Aid

This classes covers how to handle First Aid situations when you are more than an hour from normal EMS respond. This is the 16 hour ECSI course designed by Philmont and meets the requirements for all BSA High Adventure Bases.

University of Scouting - January 6

This is great opportunity to learn more about any topic in Scouting from Cubs to Commissioning.  Over 50 courses in the Boy Scout section alone most 1 hour long so one could take 7 courses in the day.  There will be over 1000 scouters from all over Circle 10 attending on the SMU campus, January 6.  To register see http://circleten.org/university-scouting cost is $30 before Dec 10, includes lunch, commemorative patch,  and course handouts.

Northern Trail Newsletter

Troop 1001 is in Northern Trail District which has a weekly Newsletter on Sunday evenings containing information on what is coming up in the district.  Go to Northern Trail Newsletter Signup to get on the email list.  Every parent in the district should get and read this Newsletter. 

Derby Day Campout - NEXT WEEKEND, Money Monday 11/27, Register NOW

It's Derby time!!! Get your camp out and racing gear ready! We'll be camping and racing at Erwin Park in McKinney. All families are invited out on Saturday to watch the races - it is always an exciting event!

Ryan Sproull Eagle Scout Project - This Saturday

My Eagle Scout project will be taking place this Saturday 11/25/17 at 10:00 A.M. This project is at the richardson mum shop located at 7989 Belt Line Rd #150, Dallas, TX 75248. We will be tearing out old carpet and cleaning the concrete underneath as well as replacing broken light bulbs and installing a few display hooks. I’m looking for as many volunteers as I can possibly get.  You will need to bring work gloves and protective eyewear as well as an  X-Acto knife if you have one.
