Dylan Lawson - Fundraising for Eagle Scout Project

Posted on Dec 6 2018 - 7:17pm

Hello all! This is Dylan Lawson asking for your help to fund my Eagle Scout Project. I have been working towards Eagle rank now for almost 7 years and we are down to the last few tasks! I have planned, scheduled, and carried out my eagle project which was removing old bushes and edging and replacing them with bright new plants and a edging to last for years. Even though it is my project I do know it impacts the community and improves the grounds of my troop's Charter organization, and provides me with volunteer opportunities.  Please consider contributing to help cover the costs associated with the project using the GoFundMe link HERE.

Richardson Christmas Parade! Saturday, 12/1/2018

Hey there, Troop 1001 adults!

There’s a chill in the air, which means it’s time to get into the Christmas spirit!

The troop is going to participate in the Richardson Christmas Parade on the morning of December 1st. The theme this year is Dr. Seuss Christmas and we will make a themed float based on the Lorax and Scouting. The boys are going to make decorations during the November 26th troop meeting including eight Lorax trees for the boys to carry. We were thinking about wrapping some PVC pipe for the stem and making some kind of giant Pom-Poms for the top, but honestly we need your creative input. If you have ideas or materials to offer please let me know. We will also be decorating a beautiful Red Model A flatbed truck with the Lorax, Scouting, Christmas theme (maybe a dome tent and Christmas lights and wreaths). Once again any ideas or materials would be very helpful.

Let me know if you have suggestions or just bring it to the November 26th troop meeting.

Yours in Scouting,

Mike Kilgard
